So I found a Debian distro running XLibre by default and couldn’t resist but test Orbitiny Desktop on it and I am happy to say that it runs beautifully — see the output in the terminal window in the screenshot. I am not new to XLibre, I’ve been testing it on Artix Linux and it’s been running beautifully but up until now, I hadn’t tested it on a Debian distro with an XLibre on it.
(UPDATE: I got it running). I’ve also been trying to test it on the Phoenix X11 server but the compilation is giving me errors although I meet all the requirements, and I have all the dependencies installed and I’ve installed the correct version of Zig so I’ve done everything correctly as per the project’s instructions but it still fails.
So, I don’t know what’s happening with that one. I will test it whenever I get it to work. I haven’t emailed the developer yet, not sure if I should as the project is new but right now, the compilation fails on my Debian based – SparkyLinux 7.5 (Orion-Belt).
I will try to do the same on Artix Linux soon and see what happens.
