Orbitiny Desktop Pilot 9F Released with PiperWire Audio Support – 8 Changes in Total + Another Speed Boost

I am happy to announce Orbitiny Desktop Pilot 9F. This release removes an artificial 4-seconds startup delay (it was there for debugging reasons) on startup and brings you the long awaited PipeWire Audio support and with this latest add-on I have filled one more gap for a full desktop experience and coming up next is a Battery Indicator, Alt+Tab Task Switcher, and application of display settings configuration when Orbitiny starts

1.0 Pilot 9F – Release Notes:

New: Added PipeWire Audio support to the Audio Control applet.

  • BugFix: Fixed Qutiny’s “Open Symlink Location” not selecting the target file, instead, it opens symlink location’s directory.
  • BugFix: Fixed launching issue of some Qt applications.
  • BugFix: Fixed another issue with ASCII file identification (affected file browser’s preview pane + searching inside of ASCII results).
  • Speed Boost: Further enhanced start-up speed.
  • Enhancement: Moved some non-standard file context menus to a submenu called “Additional Options”.
  • Enhancement: Improved the appearance of the Coconut theme (toolbars).
  • Enhancement: Replaced some toolbar icons.
