As stated in my previous update, a new release was on the way and this release primarily focuses on Orbitiny’s file manager.

1.0 Pilot X (R4) – Release Notes:

• New: Qutiny – Added a “Convert Tabs to Spaces” setting / option in the built-in text editor.
• New: Qutiny – Added a “Highlight Word” setting / option in the built-in text editor. Start typing and the word gets highlighted automatically as you type.
• New: Qutiny – Added a “Search for Word” setting / option in the built-in text editor along with Find Next and Previous buttons.
• New: Qutiny – Added a “Tab Width” setting / option in the built-in text editor. This allows you to adjust the space inserted when the Tab key is pressed.
• New: Qutiny – Added an option to auto-highlight all occurrences of the word the caret is on (if Auto Highlight is Enabled).

I eventually want to spin the built-in text editor into a super-fast independent source code editor but this is just an idea at the moment. We already have some very good source code and text editors. The only problem is that Orbitiny Desktop doesn’t have its own (yet).

Anyway, I hope you like the new features, and you can rest assured that Orbitiny Desktop will just keep getting better and more featureful with every release.
