About + Contact

Orbitiny Desktop started in 2017 out of disappointment of the current state of the Linux desktops which impacted me personally after switching to Linux full time in late 2014. It is developed and maintained by me, Sasko Usinov from Melbourne, Australia. The “tiny” in “Orbitiny” is pronounced the same is the “tiny” in destiny (Orbitini).

Sasko Usinov is a qualified software developer and CompTIA Linux+ and Network+ Certified with over 17 years professional experience in the AV industry with various Extron, AMX, and Crestron certifications and has programmed in C++ for over 20 years since 2005 and this includes developing an award winning IDE in 2006, called SkyIDE (Developed in Borland C++ Builder on Windows) and later, other applications such as Advanced Network Configurator (two versions: one in Borland C++ and the other in Qt) as well as Multiboot ISO Maker (mkisofs wrapper) and many other tools for personal use (Windows and Linux).

Sasko Usinov switched to Linux from Windows in late 2014 and has been actively using Linux 100% since then and has no regrets.
